Department of Physical Education
Department of physical education is the second level division in Shanghai Second Polytechnic University. The existing staff is 31 people, including 2 professors, 10 associate professors, with master's degree above 9, national level referee 4, national level referee of more than 20 people. In recent years, more than 300 papers published, continues nearly 20 subjects.
With clear guiding ideology, distinctive features and highlights, Department of physical education take the physical and mental health of the students as the main purpose. There is the national training base, Shanghai Collegiate Athletic Association Shuttlecock Branch Chairman unit, vice president of Chinese college student dragon boat branch unit, vice chairman of Shanghai College Students Sports Association unit; Dragon Boat and Shuttlecock sports teams participated in numerous competitions on behalf of Shanghai, and achieved good results in international and domestic; Department of physical education actively organized sports team to participate Shanghai Sunshine Sports League, and the result was very outstanding. The Athletic Meets, Dragon Boat Race, "One Hundred Thousand Team" Shuttlecock Game, basketball, football, and badminton competitions are holding once a year, which made the sports activities extremely colorful.
In recent years, Department of physical education has won many recognitions from the Sports Council and the City Board of Education: Ninth National Sports Conference Sportsmanship Award in 2010; Ninth National Minority Games Sportsmanship Award in 2011, "Outstanding Organization Award" and "Outstanding Division Award" of Shanghai Sunshine Sports League for three consecutive years from 2009 to 2011; "Dragon culture" was named "2008 Shanghai Campus Culture Outstanding Projects" by City Board of Education; SSPU was named "Shanghai Mass Sports Advanced Units." in 2010.
