Registration Date
Incoming Student Registration: September 1-15
Incoming TU international students must register in person at Tibet University in Lhasa during the registration period of September 1-15. This will also be indicated in the Admission Letter. If an incoming student is unable to register in Lhasa at TU prior to September 15th, they must contact the TU International Students Department in advance to request a late registration exemption, otherwise their TU admission acceptance will be cancelled/revoked.
Prior to incoming students arrival, the TU International Students Office will send by email information to assist your arrival in Lhasa, such as transportation options from the airport/train station to Tibet University, directions in Chinese language, and how to find the TU International Students building on the TU campus.

Insurance
As there are many unforeseen circumstances that may occur during study overseas and in light of Tibet University’s campus being located at an elevation of 3,658 meters (12,000 feet), international students studying at TU are required to have effective insurance coverage in the event of a health emergency. Proof of insurance will be required at the time of registration upon arrival in September. The TU International Students Office strongly recommends international students to enroll in insurance coverage in their home country and prior to their departure for China since TU does not offer insurance for international students and adequate insurance may not be available in Lhasa from private insurance companies. Many companies in America, Europe, and Oceania offer insurance plans especially designed for students traveling abroad which can be purchased online.
