Departure, Re-entry and Residence Permit Extension

The X-visa is a single entry student visa. It is necessary to apply for the residence permit one week before the X-visa expiry date. When students get their residence permits, students will have an unlimited number of entries and exits to and from China during the valid period of their residence permit. If students wish to extend their study at YLU, they need to apply at the International Office one month before the semester ends. The duty officer will handle the residence permit extension application.

Suspension, Return, Termination or Transfer of Study

International students who do not meet the required health standards need to terminate or suspend their study at YLU. If their health later meets the health standards after treatment, they can apply to return to their study.

Students who apply to suspend their study due to personal reasons need to pay their accommodation fees by the day, and tuition fees will not be refunded. However, the tuition fees already paid are still valid if they return to their study.

After registration, students who apply to terminate or transfer their study due to personal reasons also need to pay their accommodation fees by the day, pay their tuition fees by the month (if leaving after less than one month then one full month's tuition is required). The registration fees will not be refunded.

Students who violate YLU’s regulations and are required to terminate their study need to pay all fees, including tuition fees, accommodation fees and registration fees with no refund.
