Semester Arrangements and Holiday Regulations | The academic year at YLU is divided into two semesters: the first semester is from early September to early January, and the second semester is from early March to early July. There are two vacations in each academic year: winter vacation and summer vacation. Classes are from Monday to Friday. Legal holidays, unless due to special reasons, are observed as scheduled. However, the term dates are based on the university’s calender. International students’ academic schedule, such as the beginning of term, holidays and exam times, are the same as the Chinese students. International Students’ own national holidays are not holidays in China and also at YLU, so the students need to get permission from the duty officer if they want to ask for holiday leave. | ||
