Brief Introduction of Software Engineering Program

Software Engineering Program is set up in International College, ZJUT, Following are the brief introduction of this program:

Program Characteristics & Advantages: Software Engineering is a joint program with Bleking Institue of Technology (Sweden) and the key specialty of Zhejiang Province with the support of Zhejiang Provincial Key Disciplines of Computer Software & Theory and Internet of Things Engineering. We also build this specialty by leveraging the strengths from key disciplines of Computer System Architecture and Computer Application Technology of Zhejiang University of Technology, and Computer Network Engineering Research Center of Zhejiang University of Technology. We have a strong faculty team and high-quality experimental facilities, building three subjects including mobile software, embedded system and software outsourcing. We have formed the talent cultivation model with the characteristics of industry-education-research-application integration and refined classification of different cultivation targets. We aim at culturing engineering talents, mainly focusing on guiding students to set up a comprehensive and wide software engineering knowledge framework, strong engineering practice ability and innovative ability.

Main Subjects：Discrete Mathematics, Data Structure, C++ Programming, Java Programming, Principles of Computer Organization, Principles of Operating System, Principles of Computer Networks, Principles and Applications of Database, Web Application Development，Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction，Software Testing and Quality Assurance，Project Management;

Practice Base： We have established practice bases in nearly 70 well-known software corporations in China, and build four teaching and experimental bases in cooperation with Hangzhou National Animation Industry Base, Hangzhou National Digital Entertainment Industry Base and several famous companies of large-scale. We also collaborate with famous domestic and foreign universities and research institutes, including Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Employment Information: The graduates are mainly engaged in theory research, project research & development, application design and engineering management related to software field in new hi-Tech corporation, public institutions, post and telecommunication departments and financial institutions.
