Brief Introduction of Biological Engineering Program

Biological Engineering Program is set up in College of Biological and Environmental Engineering, ZJUT, Following are the brief introduction of this program:

Program Characteristics & Advantages:(1) The goal of this biological engineering discipline is to design and develop effective biology-based technologies for applications across a wide spectrum of societal needs including agriculture, pharmaceutical, energy and environmental health. (2) We emphases on advances in areas of applied biotechnology: metabolic engineering, biocatalysis & biotransformation, synthetic biotechnology, biopharmaceutical & biomaterial engineering, bioresource & environmental biotechnology. (3) Research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students abound across an exciting landscape of interdisciplinary labs, centers and enterprises. (4) The program offers unique career opportunities in chemical, pharmaceutical and biochemical companies.
