Brief Introduction of Environmental Engineering Program

Environmental Engineering Program is set up in College of Biological and Environmental Engineering, ZJUT, Following are the brief introduction of this program:

Program Characteristics & Advantages: The major offers training leading to the degrees of M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering. Taking advantages of the complementary skills and expertise of the faculty, our students pursue interdisciplinary knowledge on pollution control technologies, environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment and environmental managemen.

Main Subjects：Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Principles of Chemical Engineering, Environmental microbiology, Environmental Chemistry, Water Pollution Control Engineering, Air Pollution Control Engineering, Noise Pollution Control Engineering, Disposal and Resource Recovery of Solid Wastes, Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management, Ecology, Environmental Planning.

Practice Base：（1）Hangzhou iron &steel group company （2）Hangzhou qige wastewater treatment plant, （3）Hangzhou tianziling landfill, （4）The jiuxi waterworks in Hangzhou.

Employment Information: Graduates are employed in a variety of sectors, including government agencies, industrial firms/companies, institutes and universities that teach and conduct research on environmental control, environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment and management .
