Ms. Li in My Eyes:

“Ms. Li’s teaching skills are very good. She is a passionate teacher and always tries to bring extra material to help in the class. Ms. Li’s English is limited. However, she manages to communicate to each other quite well. I like her teaching methods because it makes writing and speaking Chinese easier to learn. Her teaching methods are good and she always completes the classes with additional material. Furthermore, Ms. Li and Ms. Zhu work together to make sure the material they are teaching follow a sequence. That allows me to learn the language quicker and easier. ” ----Phelipe from Brazil

Ms. Mo,

Lecturer,Master in Music of Xiamen University, is a member of council of orchestra association in colleges and universities in Hunan Province, member of Keyboard Association of Hunan Province, teaching the courses of Appreciation of Chinese and Foreign Instrumental Music Masterpiece, Instrumental Music Performance, Orthoepy, Performance, and so on.

Ms. Mo in My Eyes:

“Ms. Mo’s teaching skills are sharp, she seems to know what she is doing and she has a deep passion for music and Chinese traditional music, which leads to a good environment inside classroom. Ms. Mo can not speak English very well, however, with the help of some friends translating key points of what she is trying to teach me about (the instruments, songs or history), I can easily understand the main idea and further spread my knowledge about the Chinese culture. Ms. Mo is one of the most energetic professors I have ever had and I can tell she has a deep passion for music and loves to teach it. Moreover, she is a very patient teacher allowing me to take my time learning about a song or instrument. So far, my experience has being both, interesting and enjoyable. Ms. Mo used pinyin in the last 2 lessons to teach me a song and I found it easier to learn than when only using characters. Hence, I would recommend using pinyin more often when teaching music lyrics to someone like me, with a poor Chinese proficiency. So far I think experiencing the music class has added to my background and deepen my knowledge in Chinese traditional music and culture. Although, sometimes I can not understand 100% of the topics I can easily be aware of the main idea or history behind a song, so it also helps to improve my Chinese skills, which are my main purpose on being here.”---Vicent from Spain
