Specialty and Curriculum

development of the overseas Chinese language education, students enrolling in this specialty can apply for a Chinese Language and Culture Scholarship through the College of Huaqiao University.
Main Curriculum: pedagogy, psychology, second language teaching method, comprehensive Chinese, Chinese listening comprehension, spoken Chinese, Chinese reading, Chinese writing, modern Chinese, Chinese literature, Chinese culture and so on.
Admission Requirement: Having the degree above a senior high school and knowledge of the Chinese language; be willing to be devoted to the education of the Chinese language, be morally and ethically mature and in good health; and generally, not older than 30 years old.
II. The Chinese Language Specialty
 This specialty, which is available for international students, is a four-year undergraduate bachelor’s degree program in Chinese Language. This specialty offers an academic credential education with two levels. They are regular college program and vocational training program, and it also offers class for further studying the Chinese language, which is not an academic credential education, with elementary, intermediate and advance levels. This specialty cultivates students to fully master Chinese communication skills, to have a common knowledge of Chinese culture and to encourage them to make a contribution to Chinese-foreign culture, economic exchange and economic development.
II. The Chiese Language Degree Program
     The Chinese language Degree Program is for overseas Chinese and foreigners who want to learn the Chinese language and culture. This Degree Program offers an academic credential education with two levels. There is a regular college program and a vocational training program, which also offers classes for further Chinese language study, the latter being a non-credit series of classes with elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. This Degree Program cultivates students to fully master Chinese communication skills, to have a common knowledge of Chinese culture and to encourage them to make a contribution to Overseas Chinese culture, economic exchange and economic development.
