Application for Entrance
¶1.Degree Students
B.A. Program
- The applicant should be a senior high school graduate or with equivalent schooling in the age bracket of 18-55. The applicants must own corresponding HSK certificates.
- Documents Required for Application:
- (1) Application letter;
- (2) A copy of the applicant’s latest academic diploma or certificate of university education;
- (3) Academic record: the original script of academic record
- (4) Two reference letters from two at least associate professors or experts of related fields;
- (5) A photocopy of applicant’s passport;
- (6) A photocopy of health certificate;
- (7) HSK Level 6 Certificate or above
M.A. Program
The applicants should be under 40 years old, having acquired a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or evidence of its equivalent, an HSK Level 6 certificate, and pass the qualifying examination.
- Documents Required for Application:
- (1) Application letter;
- (2) A copy of the applicant’s B.A. degree
- (3) Academic record: the original script of academic record
- (4) Two reference letters from two professors (full or associate) or experts of related fields;
- (5) A photocopy of applicant’s passport;
- (6) A photocopy of health certificate;
- (7) HSK Level 6 Certificate or above;
- (8) For those with no Chinese language background, 570 or above for TOEFL (old version), or 90 above for the new version; or IELTS 6.5 or above (and if the total score is below 6.5, then the score for each section should be 5.0 or above).
Ph. D Program
The applicant should be under 45 years old, having a Master’s degree or its equivalent conferred on by a Chinese university, an HSK Level 6 certificate or very fluent English, and passes the qualifying exams.

- (1) Application letter;
- (2) A copy of the applicant’s M.A. degree
- (3) Academic record: the original script of academic record
- (4) Two reference letters from two professors (full or associate) or experts of related fields;
- (5) A photocopy of applicant’s passport;
- (6) A photocopy of health certificate;
- (7) HSK Level 6 Certificate or above
- (8) For those with no Chinese language background, 570 or above for TOEFL (old version), or 90 above for the new version; or IELTS 6.5 or above (and if the total score is below 6.5, then the score for each section should be 5.0 or above).
¶2.Non-degree students (short-term program for language, in-service training program for teachers)
- Documents Required for Application:
- (1) Application letter;
- (2) A copy of the applicant’s latest academic diploma or certificate of university education;
- (3) A photocopy of applicant’s passport;
- (4) A photocopy of health certificate;
- * Please register in within the date noted on your Letter of Admission. Tuition and accommodation fee should be paid for the length of your intended study period at this university on the same day of your registration. Please bring eight two-inch photos (30mm*40mm), the original of the health certificate, the completed JW202 Form and the Letter of Admission when you register.
