Starting from 2005, Daqing normal university begins to bear the Chinese teaching mission being geared to the needs of abroad students, the student studying abroad who already have been recruited from the countries such as Russia , Korea Republic , Japan , the Philippines come here to study Chinese. The teachers who give lectures have good and rich teaching experience. They have formed distinctive and effective external Chinese teaching method specifically for students with different basis and chose content of courses carefully to teach them.

Ⅰschedule of study and teaching content

According to the different needs of students, offering long-term courses, short courses

1.long term class: the term can last for one year or two years( classes will begin at least for 10 students.),or four years (?After graduation, students can receive a bachelor's degree certificate), students based on the enrollment levels will be divided into elementary, inter mediate and advanced classes. We can also arrange some classes which already start lessons according to students’need.

Main courses:

Comprehensive Chinese, speaking, listening, reading and other professional courses, as well as Introduction to Chinese Culture, Chinese characters and culture, language and culture, Tang and Song poetry appreciation, Something about ancient Chinese culture, Chinese traditional culture, drawings, Chinese art appreciation, modern and contemporary research about Northeastliterature and other public elective courses or professional elective courses.

When the course is over, after examination, a certificate will be granted for completing the study of the course qualifiedly.

2.Short term class:one month or one semester

Main courses:

synthesize Chinese, speaking, listening, reading and other professional courses. When the course is over, after examination, a certificate will be granted for completing the study of the course qualifiedly.

Short-term training classes are also available for separate groups classes, study schedule and content, will be arranged according to the specific requirements of students.

Ⅱ School characteristics:

1.All the teachers teach with standard Mandarin, and are proficient in foreign languages.

2.Small classes: class size : There are 6-10 students in every class so that students and teachers have more opportunities to communicate.

3.graded teaching: separate classes based on student enrollment levels, divided into primary, intermediate and advanced classes.

4.Tourism Learning: According to the students’ requirements, organize tourism learning for students.
