Beijing Yucai School is a municipal key school for international exchanges, and one of the first demonstration schools for international exchanges in Xicheng District. With full attention of the school management, and joint efforts of the faculty, our school has carried on with international visions and made outstanding achievements in international cooperation.

We have made it our principle of international cooperation to make pragmatic mutual visits with partner schools, to promote the innovation in teaching methodologies, and to cultivate diversified talents with international visions. Our school has been constantly growing the international exchanges in scale and depth, and exploring new ideas and methodologies by fostering an international schooling brand, promoting the development of students and teachers by exchanges and mutual visits, and setting up standardized benchmarks in practice.

Our international cooperation has always put educating students and serving teachers as the primary goal. We are committed to creating various opportunities for students’ international participation, enlarging their international vision, and enhancing comprehensive development, aiming for overall sound development for our students. The platform we build is not only for the students in understanding more international cultures, but also for the teachers to learn from the advanced international teaching ideologies.

So far, our school has signed multiple friendly partnership agreements with schools in countries and regions such as the US, Germany, the UK, Korea, Australia, Finland, Canada, New Zealand, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Every year, multiple teachers and students are sent abroad for learning and exchanges. We have a well-established homestay reception scheme, various quality exchange programs, and well-running study bases for expat teachers, serving various international exchange activities, enlarging international visions, and raising overall development. The international school infrastructure has laid down solid groundings for cultivating international visions and communication skills.

The International Division, Beijing Yucai School was established in 2002, jointly approved by Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau. It can admit students of foreign nationalities in the education programs. Currently, there are over 200 overseas students on the program. The teaching principle is “to build a bridge of friendship, to advocate Chinese cultures and to raise international talents”. The dedicated teaching crew, systematic curriculum setup, advanced teaching facilities, flexible organization models, scientific management, and considerate services have won high reputation for the school. To date, nearly 3000 overseas students from more than 10 countries and regions such as Korea, Mongolia, Germany, France, the US, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Most students are full-time. All of the senior high students have graduated into well-known universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Tongji University, Beijing University of International Business and Economics, and Communication University of China.

There are flexible ways of teaching, including language class, diploma class, and short-term exchange class. Excellent students can also choose to join studying programs with the Chinese students, and have close exchanges with Chinese classmates. Here, international students can learn fundamental cultural lessons, appreciate traditional Chinese cultures by making their traditional handcrafts, or conduct social practices, make studying tours and feel the real China.

Beijing Yucai School is also Deputy Chairman of Beijing Foreign Students Education Research Association for Elementary and Secondary Schools, Council Member of Beijing TCSOL Research Association for Elementary and Secondary Schools, member of International Society for Chinese Language Teaching, HSK Exam Site of Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), and a municipal base of international promotion for Mandarin Chinese. The school has heavily awarded with “Excellence Award in Foreign Students Management”, “Excellence Award in Education and Foreign Exchanges”, and “Excellent Organization Award in Chinese Festival for Elementary and Secondary Students” among other awards by the Beijing authorities.
