Admissions Strategy

I Who’s Eligible

Applicants with foreign passport(s) or from Hong Kong S.A.R, Macau S.A.R or Taiwan; between the ages of 12 and 18; physically fit; well-behaved; and can comply with Chinese laws and the regulations of BNDS.

III Entry Exam and Evaluation

1．The Formats of Entry Exam: Written Test and Interview (the applicants will be informed about the specific test time separately)

（1）Applicants with no previous knowledge of Chinese do not need to take the written test. Upon the approval of the interview, the applicants are directly admitted to the Entry-Level Chinese Language Class.

（2）Applicants who apply to the Advanced-Level Chinese Language Class need to take Chinese, English and Mathematics tests.

（3）Applicants who apply to the High School Diploma Course need to take Chinese, English and Mathematics tests. The applicants are expected to have attained Level 4 in the HSK test or, if without a certificate, demonstrate an intermediate or higher level of Chinese communication skills.

（4）Applicants who apply to Grade 12 (Gaokao) Class need to take Chinese, English and Mathematics tests. The applicants are expected to have attained Level 5 in the HSK test or, if without a certificate, demonstrate an advanced or higher level of Chinese communication skills.

Attention:

1、All candidates must attend the examination of BNDS at the appointed time;

2、Upon successful registration, the school will give each candidate an admission card which must be presented along with the candidate’s passport during the test.

3、Candidates who pass the written examination are required to attend the interview. Admission will not be granted without the interview.

4、Candidates must comply with the examination regulations; violation of the regulations will result in termination of candidacy;

Evaluation：

The evaluation will be based on the scores of written tests, interview and all the materials that the applicants have submitted. The International Department will inform the applicants or their parents\legal guardians about the result within two weeks after the entry exam.

IV、Other

1、Accommodation: Each dormitory room will be shared by two international students. The room has a washroom and is equipped with refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner, etc; Residential advisor will be on call 24 hours a day.

2、Physical examination: Candidates over 18 years old should take a physical examination and submit a health certificate before attending the school. BNDS will arrange physical examination for all incoming students.

3、Visa: Foreign students must obtain an X visa to study in China, otherwise, their applications for admission will not be processed; if the student has been in China and is holding a residence permit, please go to room A-305 in the International Department Building for all matters related to the application for extension of the residence permit at least one month before it expires. Note: International department will complete the registration for the students.
