Eligibility

  1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals and in good health.
  2. Degree study applicants must be over the age of 18. Non-degree study applicants under the age of 18 must submit the Guardian’s Guarantee.
  3. Educational qualifications required:
    1). Undergraduate applicants must hold senior high school certificate.
    2). Master's degree applicants must hold bachelor's degree.
    3). Doctoral degree applicants must hold master's degree.
    4). General visiting scholars must have completed two years of undergraduate studies.
    5). Senior visiting scholars must hold master's degree or hold academic titles of associate professor or higher.
  4. A valid HSK certificate (level 3 or above) is required for degree study applicants. Degree study applicants do not have a HSK certificate must attend a one-year Chinese language course before starting their majors.

Deadline

  1. There is no deadline for non-degree study application.
  2. Degree programs at LZJTU start in September each year.
    •Applications for degree study must be received not later than May 31st each year.
    •Applications for master’s or doctoral degree study scholarship must be received not later than January 31st each year.

International Students Application Procedure

  1. Contact the International Cooperation and Exchange Office for the Application Form for International Students and Foreigner Physical Examination Form or download from here.
  2. Applicants must provide following documents:
    1). Application Form for International Students, completed in Chinese or English.
    2). Photocopy of valid passport.
    3). Notarized photocopy of the diploma or certificate of the highest education. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must have notarized Chinese or English translations enclosed.
    4). Notarized photocopy of academic transcripts of the highest education. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must have notarized Chinese or English translations enclosed.
    5). Notarized certificate of no criminal record.
    6). Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English.
    7). Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in Chinese or English. The medical examination must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or those without the signature of the attending physician, official stamp of the hospital or a stamped photograph of the applicant are invalid. The medical examination results are valid for 6 months. All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor into consideration while determining when to take the medical examination.

Only documents 1), 2), 3), 4) are required if the application is sent via e-mail or fax. Applicants will be notified to send more documents if necessary.
