How to Apply to TU for study

1. Basic Requirements: Applicants must be in good health, no more than 55 years of age, and of good character and conduct. All students will be required to obey the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, as well as the regulations of TU.

2. Admission Procedures for Foreign Students

  • Applicants should write a letter(e-mail)of inquiry to the Foreign Students Department of TU at the mailing address below. The Foreign Students Department will then send an "Application Form for Foreign students (Overseas) "
  • Required materials: The completed application form and one or two recommendation letters from the applicant's schools or other organizations, a copy of graduation certificate of high school or college. A non-refundable registration fee of $50 in US currency must accompany the application. (Personal checks, postal money orders, and other bank documents cannot be processed for this purpose).
  • Application date: TU accepts international students for the fall semester of each academic year. Please send the required materials mentioned above to the Foreign Students Department of TU at the mailing address on the following page no later than 30th, May.

3. After you are admitted:

  • Within two months, successful applicants will receive an "Admission Notice" a "JW 202 Form"(a visa application form for Foreigners Wishing to study in China) and Physical Examination Record for Foreigners.
  • These documents should be presented to any Chinese Embassy to apply for an "X visa" (student status) for permission to enter China for study.
  • Complete the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners form at a certain hospital. You must bring with you the original Physical Examination Record for Foreigners, the original copy of your AIDS and Syphilis test reports, and your original ECG report. All these forms should have the seal of the hospital, signature of the Doctor. Your photos on these forms also need the seal of the hospital. If your Physical Examination Record is out of date (over 6 months old,) or if there is anything uncertain or unsatisfactory about it, you will be required to have another physical examination in China.
  • Register at the appointed time indicated in the Admission Notice. If you cannot register on time, please make a request to the Office in advance; otherwise, your case is likely to be considered a voluntary annulment of admission.
