International Exchange and Cooperation College of Xianyang Normal University is to organize the Chinese Learning Activity of studying abroad — sponsored by Xianyang Normal University for overseas students for the purpose of customizing distinctively featured practical activities of studying abroad for overseas college students who have the intention of coming to China to learn Chinese and traditional Chinese culture, to visit historical and cultural relics, and to conduct English teaching.
I. Features of the Practical Activities of Studying Abroad
● Attend Chinese learning classes in Xianyang Normal University for the purpose of enjoying Chinese language, art and traditional culture.
● Visit Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Qianling Mausoleum, Huaqing Hot Spring, Zhaoling Museum, Big Goose Pagoda, Xi’an City Wall, Xi’an Steles Forest Museum, Shaanxi History Museum and Hibiscus Garden of the Tang Dynasty, etc. for the purpose of understanding Chinese history and traditional culture.
● Widen one’s life horizon, experience a different culture and custom. Make acquaintance of friends of another country for the establishment of international friendship.
● Arrange for communicating with Chinese students in terms of learning traditional Chinese culture and art.

● Learn Communicative Oral Chinese, Poetry in the Tang Dynasty, Calligraphy, Traditional Chinese Painting, and Traditional Chinese Folk Songs in International Exchange and Cooperation College of Xianyang Normal University. Rich and colorful practical activities will be carried out such as the enjoyment of Chinese films, the practice of Taijiquan, and the self-making of artistic performances and programs.
● Small-class mode in class organization, teaching conducted by experienced teachers of great expertise from Xianyang Normal University with full guarantee of teaching quality.
● The Diploma of Learning Chinese will be awarded by Xianyang Normal University at the end of the session.
III. Students to be recruited
Those who have a considerable basic competence of British English or American English, eligible as a teacher in British English or American English teaching practicum, healthy and well-disciplined.
IV. Expenses for Studying Abroad

Expenses cover
(1)Tuition, material costs, course hour payments, and expenses for interpreters in the course of the practical activities of studying abroad.
(2) Lodging fee. Guesthouse is to be the place where one stays during the practical activities (with two people sharing a room).
(3) Security and liability insurance within China.
(4) Payments for tickets for the visiting of scenic spots, transportation, tourist guide service during the journey of exploration.
(5) Diet fee. Meals are to be arranged by the college.
Expenses do not include
(1)Return plane tickets;
(2)Other allowances.
Note: These expenses are to be calculated for a group made up of more than 20 people. For groups with the number of people under 20, the expenses will be increased 500 yuan for one person.
